This day is brought to you by the Sd Kfz 221 which was a Leichter Panzerspähwagen because of course it was.
What’s more interesting is that it was based on the chassis of the Horch 108. Horch were one of the four rings of the Auto Union (and later Audi) symbol and were otherwise known for large and luxurious cars. They made the chassis at their plant in Zwickau which in a subsequent incarnation made Trabants and still retained the original name which nobody bothered to paint over. Power was by a 3.5l Horch V8 with just 75 bhp.
